LOUIS OSIER, CO.
Louis Osier, Co. was built on 25 years of knowing exactly how things are made.
Our founder, Louis Ho, spent decades developing one of the industry's most respected outdoor manufacturing operations, long before Louis Osier, Co. existed. That background isn't a talking point. It's the reason every material we use is developed in-house, every weld is finished by hand, and every collection is designed around how people actually live
outside.
The name comes from the "osier", the flexible shoot of a willow, and the
ancient foundation of woven craft. It speaks to where we began and how we still think: with a maker's eye on every detail.
Our materials are proprietary
The handwoven HDPE resin that defines our collections begins as raw pellets, custom-blended with pigment, extruded into rope, textured, and hand-woven by skilled artisans. The result emulates natural osier visually and texturally, and vastly outperforms it. Our aluminum frames are precision-welded, hand-finished, and powder-coated. Our cast
concrete is hand-poured, reinforced with fibrous compounds to reduce weight, pigmented throughout, and sealed for the elements.

We also manufacture to specification
Custom colors, weaves, and dimensions are available. A 16 to 18 week lead time
applies to custom orders, with a non-refundable deposit required upon
design approval.
Louis Osier, Co. is based in California. Trade inquiries welcome.

HDPE and color pigments are custom blended, extruded and finished in a method that emulates natural osier visually and texturally.

START WITH HDPE PELLETS
#1
We precisely measure and mix a combination of a pigments to achieve the perfect color tone.
The pigmented HDPE pellets are then loaded into the hopper of our extruding machine.

#2
The machine melts the pellets, then extrudes the material into rope, or "Osiers".
The rope is extruded directly into a cooling bath to quickly set color and shape.

#3
It then passes through spinning wheels that apply our desired texture.
The rope is fed into a baler. Per day, we produce approximately 800 kilos in material which translates to 40 lounge chairs.

#4
The bundles are wrapped, and then passed along to our expert weavers.

CAST CONCRETE
Hand poured into molds, Louis Osier Co. takes a traditional concrete base and mixes it with fibrous compounds to reduce weight.

Cast Concrete is pigmented and mixed with fibrous compounds to reduce weight and curing time.
Hand molded, finished and sealed. Each piece is slightly different.

Concrete is cured and hand finished.
All pieces are sealed to withstand the elements and feature color pigment that runs throughout.
About
Resource Guide

All WEATHER ROPE
Uses a proprietary blend of Polyester and PVC compounds as a base for our All Weather Rope. The colors are custom blended, extruded, and twisted together for a durable high-performance product. Designed to abhor sagging, staining, tearing and cracking. All Weather Rope collections are corrosion, UV, and mildew resistant.

HANDWOVEN RESIN
Uses the highest-grade resin on the market. A custom blend of HDPE and Japanese pigments are extruded together for a high-performance product that emulates its natural cousin visually and texturally. Our collections are corrosion, UV, and mildew resistant. Resin is designed to abhor sagging, staining, tearing and cracking.

ALUMINUM
Precision welded, hand finished and powder-coated to create a solid foundation.

STAINLESS STEEL
Naturally corrosion proof steel is precision welded and hand finished.

SOLID TEAK
Sources high quality teak from around the world. Weathered Teak is wire brushed and hand-finished with a warm pigment. Natural teak is sanded and oiled to allow the natural wood grain to shine. Both wood Finishes will "silver" over time.
